what happens when a chronically landlocked girl makes it to the outer banks? she gets a little carried away hunting seashells.
and then she goes home to feed her cat, sleep in her own bed, and get caught up in the finer points of living to the point that she doesn't update her dry erase blog.
i'd apologize but i have no regrets.

Heart-Sitter
there is something about going on holiday that always seems theoretical. 'take 10 days off and go see the inaugural parade? sure. it's not like it's me doing it. that's for Future Cherish.'
and then the day comes and you have to put your life on hold; to pack up all of your question marks and exclamation points and fit them in 3 once bottles and pray security doesn't see the danger. you surrender the ability to control your own life, to sleep in your bed, to feed your cat, to drive to the store at 3 in the morning, and what do you get in return? the hope that the great Unknown will be enough for those 10 days, and your life can resume as it was or maybe better just as soon as you get to sleep in your own bed, feed your cat, and drive to the store at 3 in the morning.
and hopefully you will be compensated for squeezing those question marks and exclamation points into travel-sized bottles, and everything too big to fit into a carry-on will be of the non-perishable sort.

My Cat is so Fat
so i have this cat. she is stunningly beautiful, but also stunningly big. i have played it off as fluff (she is very fluffy) and kept her on diet cat food, but she is still rather big-boned.
i love her and all, but she broke the dvd player and now i can't watch Big O.
also my black marker died today.
sad.

The Tie-In
one night at work I got bored and ended up drawing all over the whiteboard, then I thought, "hey this could be a cool blog maybe. i could like update it weekly or something."
and then my laptop died and i needed a way to update my webcomic so i decided there was no time like the present.
